Road to The Show Promotion Tips

Like any other title in the franchise, your created player will begin their journey into the Miners. Specifically, AA which is the lowest point of any team’s farm system that The Show is replicating. Along the way, you’ll need to prove your worth to your team in order to get promoted.

When you first start out, you’ll be asked if you want to continue with the pitcher / positional player combination, but through our testing we’ve found that it takes a bit longer than choosing one or the other.

Here are some tips for getting players into the Majors quickly.

Choose a team that needs the position you want

The Baltimore Orioles need a lot of positions and a great team to start.

You will have the choice of selecting the team you want to be drafted into and a good tip is to choose a team that needs a player in the position you are playing in. Take the Detroit Tigers or the Baltimore Orioles, for example, they’re the two young teams, with plenty of places available for pitching and position players.

This will get you up the ranks faster if you play well, and it could lead to a promotion within a year or so.

Use perks to increase your overall score

Over the course of the game, you will unlock certain perks and archetypes for your player, and you will also have the option to purchase perks in the Community Market.

These drastically affect some of your in-game notes and, using a combination of some such as speed, power, and control, can dramatically increase your overall.

The higher your player’s rating, the more likely your franchise is to call you into the MLB. Usually it will take around the mid 70s to 80s for your player to be called up, so not too long if you equip the right perks.

The tips above will more than likely increase your chances of reaching MLB level, and you will find that the real game starts when your created player reaches the big leagues!
