‘Ravi Bhai! Don’t go back on that’ – Dinesh Karthik reminds ex-India manager of his own advice after ‘easy game’ remark

Indian cricket team designated finisher Dinesh Karthik was absolutely brilliant to wrap up the game. He scored 10 carries on 2 balls and made the strikes quite easy. Now, all the outside noise regarding Dinesh Karthik’s role as a finisher would be put to rest.

Skipper Rohit Sharma was quite happy as Karthik played according to his reputation. We’ve seen in the past that Karthik was blatantly ignored by the management during the recently concluded Asian Cup 2022 which was quite questionable as he barely got a chance to show his credentials.

Karthik would be aware that people will forget his exploits quite quickly as he has to finish games consistently.

Dinesh Karthik and Ravi Shastri in a funny conversation

After the game, Ravi Shastri was seen interacting with Dinesh Karthik. “The finisher is with us. Easy game, DK. Two bullets, cake. Six, four, thank you very much!

Karthik immediately responded. “You are the one who taught me to say, ‘it’s never an easy game’, Ravi bhai! Don’t go back on that, please. It’s a hard game, you know how it is. ‘is !.” he said

Vintage Rohit Sharma

It looked like Rohit Sharma planned this round. The batter hit 46 runs on 24 balls, including 4 fours and 4 sixes. The batter was hitting monstrous sixes as Hazlewood and the bowlers were rocked.

Skipper Aaron Finch was embarrassed because even after having 90 points on the board, Men in Blue were closing in on the target quite easily.

Rohit Sharma’s form is very essential to the Indian setup as he has a knack for running away with the game. Men in Blue now looks like a formidable team but at the same time the team must not be complacent because in T20Is a few balls are enough to change the facets of the game.

It would be interesting to see if Rohit continues to be bold in his approach in Game 3 T20I as playing aggressive can also backfire.
