TD Garden requiring vaccination or negative COVID test for Bruins, Celtics Games and concerts – CBS Boston
BOSTON (CBS) – Fans who attend Bruins and Celtics games in the next season will need to be vaccinated or provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
TD Garden announced Wednesday that the mandate applies to all events at the TD Garden, including concerts. The rule applies to fans 12 years of age or older.

The new rule comes into effect on September 30, 2021. This is the Bruins’ first home preseason game of the year.
The arena mask mandate – requiring participants to wear masks at all times, except when actively eating or drinking – will remain in place.
“Fan safety is paramount as we invite guests to return to TD Garden for the 2021-22 season,” Bruins president Cam Neely said in a statement. “While we were all hoping for a return to normal, we felt it was important to start the year with extra precautions. Having started the 2020 season in an empty building, I know our players, coaches and staff can’t wait to start this year in front of the most passionate hockey fans in the world.

“These policies will continue to be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis,” TD Garden said in the announcement. “Certain events, seating locations and experiences may require additional health and safety guidelines, as required by promoters, touring artists or league protocols. An original vaccination card or a digital copy of the vaccination card serves as accepted proof for vaccination. Customers 18 years of age and over must provide an identity document corresponding to the name appearing on the vaccination record.
For negative tests, prints or digital copies of rapid tests / negative antigens will be accepted. Home rapid / antigen testing will not be accepted.
“We are grateful to resume a full season in front of our fans this year,” said Celtics president Rich Gotham. “The vaccination check will help give our fans peace of mind when they return to enjoy the energy of a Celtics live game together.”
